Dr. George Fuller, Jr – Founder and Executive Director
Life Compass Living was born out of George’s 40 years as a minister, community leader focused on the homeless, mental illness, older adults and addiction as well as his 13-year journey as a caregiver (with his family) for both his parents and his in-laws through the end of life. He discovered how confusing and emotionally draining it was to be a caregiver. The Life Compass Plan Protocol was developed using aging science, brain science, motivational interviewing, and family systems theory to help navigate the complexities of aging and address the insecurities of young adults, while securing the resources needed to share life with those we love.
George holds a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry with a specialty in small group process. He is also a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and a Family and Financial mediator.
George’s greatest passion is his family, including his wife Tammy, his two sons, Tripp and Steven, their partners in life Alecia and Chase and the awesome grandchildren who give him his favorite role of being Gpops. Elgin, Wake, Khora, Beckon and Haven motivate his determination to heal the world while shifting the focus of the systems we participate to our relationships with one another and the biosphere we share. His hobbies include guitar, music gigs singing classic acoustic rock, fishing, hunting, porch time with friends and neighbors, and reading focused on the sciences, spirituality, biographies, and poetry. (Recently he has added a near addiction to podcasts.) The best day of the week is date night with Tammy. The best time of the day is spent in his chair before the sun rises and the demands arrive. That is where he reorients himself to his Life Compass and anticipates the way he will invest the day.
